Our Story
The mission at Ghostlight Educational Theatre Collective is to inspire, nurture, challenge, amaze, educate and empower artists and audiences, in order to make our public a more conscious and compassionate community.
Ghostlight ETC is an educational theatre company where our priority is making both performance and technical theatre accessible for all regardless of race, gender, identity, disability, or socioeconomic status. Theatre should be a means by which students grow and create by examining their sense of self and the world in which they live.
In order for such individual growth to occur we feel it is important to:
Choose dramatic and humorous literature that reflects the human experience in a variety of ways.
Select literature that presents issues and ideas that inspire the audience to think and feel.
Realize that theatre reflects life in its fullest range; from the dark side to all its beauty.
Be accepting of any and all participants.
Create a community that values commitment, discipline, and work ethic.
Encourage collaboration, creativity, and passion towards the arts.
Maintain a welcoming, honest, and trusting environment.
Ghostlight's LLC and Nonprofit sectors are committed to forwarding this mission through our programming, scholarship, and physical community.
