Colleen Gibbons

she/her

Production Manager

Colleen is honored to be part of the incredible Ghostlight team, made up of artists who feel more like family than coworkers. A proud alum of Lyons Township High School, she returned to LTHS after earning her degree in Special Education from Illinois State University. After years of passionate advocacy, she successfully launched an American Sign Language program in 2016 and now teaches ASL full-time in the World Language department (and, let’s face it, to anyone else who will pay attention to her!) At Ghostlight, Colleen wears many hats behind the scenes: stage management, lighting, sound, master electrician, effects designer, database management, and Playbill creation, to name a few. She finds joy in introducing students to the magic of technical theatre and showing them that there are powerful ways to create and contribute to the art of theatre—even if they don't act or sing. When she’s not in the classroom or the booth, you’ll likely find her with her beloved and mischievous dogs, Jaq and Joey.
