Hunter is the Performing Arts Center Manager and Technical Director at Downers Grove South High School. He is an accomplished scenic designer in both the educational and professional fields, and a innovative Technical Director for the students of Downers Grove South, and now Ghostlight ETC!
A five time scenic designer for the Illinois High School All-State musical and one-time International High School Theatre Festival Main Stage Musical.
Principal designer at Six Point Theatrical, built from the ground up, the firm has expanded into new ventures over the years including lighting design, custom prop creation as well as a new venture into creature creation! Hunter has had the pleasure of working with a myriad of top technicians in the field and brings that expertise into every show!
Hunter is dedicated to enriching the lives of theatre artists on stage as well as off. He believes that performers and technicians should have a mutual respect for both crafts. It is important for students to have a good working knowledge of both sides because of the camaraderie it creates on a stage, when there is mutual support from both sides the energy in the theatre is electric! That’s the real magic!
Hunter is so excited to continue the journey with this amazing team. Each one of these people pour all of their hearts and talent into everything they do, and the students reap the reward! It’s time to break some molds and set an example of what we want to see in the theatre world!
