kt williams is a dance artist, educator, choreographer, and arts administrator based in Chicago, IL. She is on faculty in the Dance Program at the College of DuPage where she teaches courses in modern dance technique, choreographic mentorship, and dance and technology. kt choreographs independent dance projects under the title, “kt williams + artists” and she is also co-artistic director of “DanSeries Collective,” a collaborative partnership with her sister-in-dance, Caitlyn Schrader. At Ghostlight, kt manages all marketing, social media, and digital communications. Since joining the Ghostlight family, she has enjoyed creating content and messages that promote the magic and joy that exist within the Ghostlight community! kt attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she received the Donald Carducci Memorial Scholarship Award for overall excellence in dance performance. In 2023, she earned an MFA in Choreography from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. When she is not dancing, kt enjoys practicing (and teaching) Pilates and taking photos of her ridiculously cute shorkie, Edie. kt considers performance as a site for collective transformation, and she firmly believes working in community fosters the wellbeing and sustainability of the artist-citizen.
